Hiking 
Gorski Kotar is the excellent spot for all the enthusiasts of the mountains and hiking activities. Risnjak and its 1528 meters will please any enthusiast. In addition to Risnjak relatively close are also some other mountain peaks that you can conquer.

Cycling
Many developed cycling routes at Skrad and in its surroundings will provide memorable moments of joy on two wheels; in addition to the developed cycling tracks, you can also cycle through the Kupska Valley.

Angling 
There are numerous sites on the territory of Gorski Kotar and in the Skrad surroundings visited by local and foreign anglers. It is not uncommon to catch a capital trout here. The Upper Kupa is the right spot for fly-fishing and trout catching, while for other types of fishing and fish we recommend the visit to the Lokvarsko Lake or the lakes of Bajer and Lepenica at Fužine.

Rafting 
The Upper Kupa is exceptionally interesting because of its natural beauties and the scenery, and one of the ways to visit it is rafting or canoeing. Brod Na Kupi is the place of departure for this unique adventure.

Caving/Spelunking 
The underground karst area of Gorski Kotar will amaze you. Both the outdoors and the underground sites of Gorski Kotar are beautiful. The biggest cave for tourist visits is at Lokve, and in addition to the Lokvarka Cave, there are also smaller caves at the Golubnjak Park Forest, and the Vrelo Cave at Fužine. They all have been developed for visitors allowing smooth passage; therefore the visit to these sites is certainly recommended. Hajdova Hiža is for more adventurous tourists with the found remains of a saber-toothed tiger and a cave bear.
